At the close of the Tourism Industry Forum, “Destination Côte-Nord,” the MNA for Duplessis, Lorraine Richard, on behalf of the Minister for Tourism, Pascal Bérubé, and jointly with the President of Tourisme Côte-Nord|Duplessis, Nicole Caron, and the President of Tourisme Côte-Nord|Manicouagan, Parise Deschènes, made an important announcement regarding the North Shore tourism industry: The Duplessis Regional Partnership Agreement on Tourism is to be renewed! The budgetary envelope for the agreement equals $727 500 for the region of Duplessis. This Regional Partnership Agreement on Tourism will help develop the tourism offer, which plays a key role in the region’s economic diversification. Tourism companies will therefore be able to take advantage of this economic level to get new projects off the ground and contribute to the development of the entrepreneurial culture of these two regions. With respect to the region of Duplessis, a first call for projects is ongoing and interested tourism stakeholders have until August 16, 2013, to submit their proposal.
